La Ferme de la Ruchotte is situated 15 minutes by car from Beaune. It is a small old farm, run Organically by the passionate chef Frédéric Menager and his wife Eva. Frédéric has cooked fine French cuisine for more than 20 years, having worked at many famed Restaurants in Paris and Burgundy.
With the ingredients grown, cooked and served by the Menagers’, you can be sure that no restaurant in France can compete with the seasonality of dishes or the freshness of their produce. La Ruchotte is one of the few restaurants in the region where you may see a famed winemaker dining with his or her family or a local grower arrive to purchase their fresh eggs. Besides the amazing flavoursome food, often served in a shared recipient in the centre of the table, La Ruchotte has a mouth watering list of wine producers from Burgundy and France. Whether you are after the Natural wines of Olivier Merlin, with a density and complexity that severely outweigh their modest price, or whether you feel in the mood to go all out and drink a Romanée-Conti for lunch, this wine list has an option for everyone.
The restaurant is open every Saturday and Sunday for lunch, evenings and lunches during the week are available upon request for larger groups. The 4 course set menu costs 35 euros plus drinks.
