Cristina Otel & Amy Farnsworth are two passionate women behind Taste Burgundy.  They will share with you their wine knowledge, helping you to get the most of your trip to this great region, their home.

Amy joined Taste Burgundy after graduating with her Diploma from The Wine Spirit Education & Trust, a fundamental step for a Master of Wine. She has completed her fifth year of studies in wine in Beaune with a Diploma in Winemaking and Viticulture. She has been working in sales & production over the past decade. Felton Road in New Zealand & Maison Camille Giroud in Burgundy developed her practical knowledge. Her experience with fine wine importers & and private wine merchants in Vancouver enhanced her affection for wine. Amy is a wine enthusiast who enjoys communicating her passion which will no doubt be an eye opening experience on its own.

Cristina and her winemaker partner Christian Knott designed Taste Burgundy in 2009. She discovered wine as a teenager having lived & worked with Becky Wasserman & Russell Hone, wine importers living in Burgundy for over 25 years. She studied wine for 7 years, completed a two year degree in Viticulture & Wine Making at the Lycée Viticole in Beaune, a Bachelor Degree in Vine Sciences & a Master of Vine & Terroir at the University of Burgundy. She has worked in numerous positions in wine production, marketing & communication around the world. Chateau Cheval Blanc, Chateau La Fleur in Bordeaux, Maison Camille Giroud, Domaine de la Vougeraie, Domaine Emmanuel Giboulot, Domaine d’Ardhuy in Burgundy, Wooldands Estate, Howard Park in Margaret River, WA, Australia are just a few to name. She will share with you her passion for food and wine, explaining very simply the knowledge she has distilled for over a decade.
